Just Like The Ant Movie!
When I was a wee little kid my brother took me to see the movie “Empire of the Ants” and being only 6 years old at the time I was kind of freaked out! Now that I’ve read this story I see that the movie could have been much scarier… in fact I think this story disturbed me even more, and I’m 35 years older now! Sheesh!
Laurel has had a rough life for the past few weeks. It started out all nice and happy when she was leading grade school kids on spider-finding field trips, but quickly turned ugly after a little girl was killed by… something. Yeah, that’s when the Anansi Island State Park decided to shut down and figure out what happened. But soft-hearted Laurel had to feed the captive animals one last time didn’t she – and that’s when she discovered that there used to be some other occupants of Anansi Island, but those people were doing some sinister research… research which is now threating to kill not only Laurel but potentially all mankind as well!
