BTW: Not that I think that the story was intended to comment on the abortion issue, but I read this as being pro-choice, just attacking the argument from the other end: What if women were forced to have abortions?</description>

  That is an interesting viewpoint, and one that I never would have guessed at myself.  I took at look at some other peoples&#039; comments about this story (on other web sites) and I see that there are plenty of people who would agree with you.
  
  For me, however, I did not see it as an overt (or covert) attempt at a &quot;pro-life&quot; story.  I just thought it was a cool science fiction story.</description>
